Qiu Jin’s Ancestral Residence Exhibition Hall is located in Fuan Village, Futian Town, Shaoxing. The exhibition hall features grey walls and black tiles, exuding an antique charm. A river flows right in front of it, and the courtyard is shaded by lush green trees, creating a very elegant environment.
The exhibition hall is a five-room, two-deep bungalow. In 1995, to commemorate the heroic martyrs, the exhibition hall was reconstructed to its original appearance. Inside, it displays the historical traces of the Qiu family, the history of Qiu’s ancestors, and the roots of their patriotic family tradition, as well as the brilliant life of Qiu Jin, who dedicated her life to her motherland with ‘green blood for the country’.
