Qiushou Uprising Square is located in the north of Pingxiang City, with a total area of 346 mu and a green coverage rate of 72%. The square is linked by the Pingshui River and is composed of the central square, the northwest square, the southeast square and the northeast square. Its construction aims to commemorate this great historical event of the Autumn Harvest Uprising. The square buildings are distributed according to the axis design.

On the north-south axis, there are outdoor electronic screens, flag-raising platforms, music fountains, monuments and the Autumn Harvest Uprising Exhibition Hall in the base of the monument. On the east-west axis, pavilions, corridors, flower racks, stone carvings and artistic membrane structures are perfectly integrated, making the square a multi-functional place integrating commemorative exhibitions, celebration rallies, leisure and entertainment, and becoming Pingxiang’s picturesque ‘city living room’.

In order to further enrich the cultural connotation of the Autumn Harvest Uprising Monument, in 2009, the Pingxiang Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government newly built the Autumn Harvest Uprising Pingxiang Exhibition Hall in the base of the Autumn Harvest Uprising Monument and opened it to the public free of charge. Adhering to the concept of ‘promoting red culture, guiding red tourism and treasuring red memories’, the Autumn Harvest Uprising Pingxiang Exhibition Hall uses scientific attitudes and uses forms such as words, pictures, cultural relics and electronic touch screens to detail the glorious history of the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the border between Hunan and Jiangxi in 1927 (focusing on Pingxiang).

Opening hours: Open all day all year round.
