Qixia Ridge is located to the west of Geling and behind Yue Wang Temple, also known as Lv Tai Mountain or Chi’an. It is said that the ridge was once abundant with peach blossoms, which bloomed in spring creating a scene reminiscent of a colorful mist, hence the name Qixia Ridge.
There are numerous historical sites on Qixia Ridge, and because of its low altitude, it has become one of the mountains that is easily accessible to the public. In the mornings and afternoons, people can be seen ascending the ridge along various paths for vocal practice, bird walking, card playing, and leisurely strolls. Especially during the hot summer months, the Ziyun Cave, Jingu Cave, and Yingu Cave on the ridge become popular spots for cooling off.
On the ridge, there is also the tomb of Niu Gao, and adjacent to the ridge is Bao Village, which is built along the mountain. The main road up the mountain features the Huang Binhong Memorial Hall, Shuangling Pavilion, Baisha Spring, and the traditional residential architecture complex of Ziyunli in Hangzhou. The ridge is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
