Taixu Palace is located in the northern suburbs of Qixia City, and was constructed by Qiu Chuji, the founder of the Quanzhen Longmen School of Taoism in China, a renowned Taoist scholar, health scientist, and literary figure, who used his former residence to build the Taoist temple in 1191 AD. It has a history of more than eight hundred years. Due to its location in Bindu Village, it is commonly referred to as the ‘Bindu Palace’. Emperor Zhangzong of the Jin dynasty bestowed the name ‘Taixu Temple’, which was one of the famous Taoist forests at the time.
