Qixing Ridge is located in the northeast of Puqian Town, Wenchang, facing the sea to the north with an elevation of 117.4 meters. It consists of more than ten peaks, among which seven stand out, resembling the ‘Stars of Qixi’, and face the Leizhou Peninsula across the sea. The scenic area of Qixing Ridge is enchantingly beautiful, with seven peaks like stars and a flat lake resembling the moon, creating a uniquely graceful and beautiful landscape, historically known as ‘Seven Stars accompanying the Moon’.

A little over 1000 meters south of Qixing Ridge lies a mountain ridge, commonly known as ‘Daling’. This ridge features only one peak, which is on par with the main peak of Qixing Ridge. At the top of the ridge, there are remnants of Japanese wartime trenches and sentry posts, stretching over a hundred meters in a winding pattern. To the west of Daling, the landscape is a continuous undulation of grotesque rocks, presenting a distinctive view.

On the ridge stands the towering Doubing Pagoda, which was originally built in the fifth year of the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty (1625) and was renovated in the thirteenth year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty (1874). The octagonal Doubing Pagoda has seven levels and is over 30 meters tall. One can ascend to the top level via the spiral staircase inside the tower, overlooking the Qiongzhou Strait and taking in the surrounding scenery, which evokes a sense of vastness and serenity.

On the hillside of one of the peaks in the ridge area, there is a spring that flows continuously, with sweet and clear water, which has always been regarded as sacred by Buddhists and Taoists. At the foot of the peak, there is a temple called ‘Temple of the Holy Mother of the Seven Stars’, which has a simple and unique design. About 200 meters to the east of the main peak is a freshwater lake, commonly known as ‘Dinosaur Pond’, covering an area of about 50 acres, shaped like a full moon, with unfathomable depth.

Please note: The mountain road on the ridge leads to all peaks, and cars can drive up to the summit. The opening hours are subject to the daily operational status.
