Qixingtai (Sanluocuo Art District) Scenic Area is an extremely ancient architectural complex. During the Tang Dynasty, the first scholar of Lianjiang County observed the stars at night, wrote books, and established an academy, hence the name Qixingtai. The scenic area is mainly composed of hundreds of years of ancient dwellings (representative groups include Sanluocuo, Licuo, and Dutang Water Street) that have been restored and transformed, and have been passed down for more than twenty generations. This is the largest and most well-preserved ancient residential complex found in Lianjiang to date.
The Qixingtai (Sanluocuo Art District) Scenic Area project integrates ecological landscapes, ancient dwelling history, leisure vacation, characteristic homestay hotels, rural cuisine, camping sites, Chinese tea drinks, folk customs, and agricultural experiences, achieving a fusion of ancient and modern, and dynamic development. Surrounded by green mountains, the area features black tiles and white walls, exuding a simple and exquisite charm. The total area of the project is about 40 acres, with an ancient building area of over 16,000 square meters. Based on Tang Dynasty architecture and centered around Ming Dynasty architecture, the wooden and stone structure dynamically restores the unique village landscape of ‘mountain springs entering homes, rivers within homes, and houses in rivers’.
