Qixingyan, located approximately 2 kilometers north of Zhaoqing city in Guangdong, is composed of five lakes, six hills, seven peaks, and eight caves. The scenic area is accessible through four gates: east, west, south, and north, with an additional entrance to the Fairy Lake in the northeast. The east gate is closer to the Fairy Lake, while the south gate is near the Qixingyan Arch Square. However, both of these entrances are relatively far from the core scenic area, so it is recommended to enter through the west gate or the north gate on Yingbin Avenue.
This is a park where you can enjoy hiking and mountain climbing or take a boat ride on the lake. For those who wish to climb high, you can ascend Tianzhu Peak or Shi Shi Peak to overlook the entire lake from above. If you are interested in caves, you can visit Shi Shi Cave, which is filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Additionally, there are numerous cliff inscriptions inside the cave, with over 600 works, showcasing various dynastic scripts, making them worth a visit.
At Fairy Lake, you can take a boat tour, which also allows you to visit other attractions such as the Red-crowned Crane Ecological Park, the Reclining Buddha, and the Rice-yielding Cave. The former offers a distant view of red-crowned cranes and flamingos, while the Reclining Buddha refers to a small island on the lake that resembles a reclining Buddha statue.
