Quanzhou Mark Minnan Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Hall is located at No. 4 Tongzheng Lane, Licheng District, in the ancient residence of Su Tingyu, former Sichuan Governor of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of nearly 2000 square meters. The main residence is a traditional Minnan architecture with a history of over two hundred years, featuring five sections and five openings, and is one of the most well-preserved and largest official residences in Quanzhou. A variety of intangible cultural heritages, including Jin Cang Embroidery, Flower Lanterns, Ancient Incense Making, and Puppet Head Carving, have been introduced to establish studios. The hall regularly hosts art exhibitions, exchanges, and cultural salons with distinctive Minnan characteristics.
As a cradle of Minnan opera and a small art garden in ancient residences, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Theater regularly stages traditional art performances with unique Minnan features, such as Nanyin, Gaojia Opera, Liyuan Opera, Puppet Shows, Chest-Beating Dance, and Huoding Husband and Wife. Experience projects like Jin Cang Embroidery of Quanzhou, Quanzhou Flower Lantern Making, Lacquer Thread Carving, and Quanzhou Fu Ship Making are also available.
