Quehua Bridge is located by the shores of Daming Lake, originally a tall ancient single-arch stone bridge. Standing on the bridge and gazing northward, the distant Quehua Mountains appear like a pair of green-robed fairies dancing from afar, with the fields crisscrossed by paths and villages wrapped in cooking smoke, resembling an ink-wash painting. This scene is historically referred to as ‘Quehua Mist and Rain.’ The great calligrapher of the Yuan Dynasty, Zhao Mengfu, was so captivated by this view that he spontaneously painted the ‘Autumn Colors of Quehua,’ which has become a treasured masterpiece. After the reconstruction, Quehua Bridge is now a longer bridge in the new scenic area, situated south of Chaoran Tower at Daming Lake. Due to the obstruction of urban buildings, it is difficult to see the Quehua Mountains from the bridge, but the beauty of the lake beside the bridge remains enchanting. The bridge is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
