Qushan Island is located northeast of Gaoting Town, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It is a charming and restrained pearl of the Zhoushan Islands. The more magnificent building on the mountain is the Jade Buddha Pagoda, which is about 45 meters high and has eleven floors. The base of the pagoda is ten meters square. It is made of finely cut granite and there are stairs inside. You can go up layer by layer and place two hundred jade Buddhas on each layer. The lantern on the top of the tower can be seen hundreds of miles around and is a major landscape of the Zhoushan Islands.
In addition, there are salt pans on Qushan Island. It is one of the main production areas of ‘Dai salt’. Tourists can see a rather spectacular large salt pan along the central coast of the island.
