The Rainbow Valley scenic area in Lingcunwu is one of the core areas of the ‘Chinese Biosphere Reserve’. Inside the scenic spot, waterfalls tumble and strange rocks and rainbows appear alternately. The entire scenic area is full of bamboo and mountain streams gurgle. There are also many wild apricot and wild peach trees growing by the stream, adding a bit of charm to the elegance. The ‘Rainbow Waterfall’ at the top of the scenic area is the essence of the Rainbow Valley scenic area. The large waterfall has a drop of more than 38 meters. However, under normal circumstances, tourists are very difficult to see rainbows. So seeing a rainbow also requires a combination of coincidences. This adds to the mystery of the Rainbow Waterfall. The Rainbow Valley scenic area in Lingcunwu is connected with the ‘Huanglonggang’ of the Dalu Temple to be developed soon, and the Maotang and Tangkeng scenic areas in Shanggougou by means of modern transportation facilities such as cableways, thus building a large Shanggougou scenic area and becoming a comprehensive tourist resort scenic area integrating landscape leisure, Buddhist culture, and red tourism. From a geographical perspective, Tianmu Mountain is a giant dragon. Yaotoushan, Hongtaoshan, Jingshan and other mountains within Yuhang District belong to the Tianmu Mountain system. They are a group of Tianmu dragons within Yuhang District. A group of dragons cannot be without a leader. Yaotoushan is the dragon head. Moreover, due to its height, climbing to the top of Yaotoushan gives people a feeling of the dragon head swaying. Therefore, people call this mountain Yaotoushan. Yaotoushan is the head of the group of dragons, and even immortals will come to visit. It is said that after the Eight Immortals crossed the sea and returned, they wanted to visit the old dragon head within Yuhang District. When they came here, they sat down and rested. Because they sat for a long time, they left their physical bodies and disappeared, leaving behind the Eight Immortals Hall where the Eight Immortals gathered. There is a crack in the middle of the huge rock lying on the stream. This rock is called the ‘Sword Testing Stone’. It is said that after Ling Tong sharpened his sword at the foot of the mountain, one day he drank the rice wine brewed from the Hulu Pond water and went to admire the Rainbow Waterfall. On the way, he saw a huge rock lying in the stream and wanted to test whether the sharpened sword was sharp. Only to see Ling Tong raise his hand and swing his sword. A flash of white light passed, and the huge rock was instantly cut into two pieces. Thus, the name ‘Sword Testing Stone’ came into being.
