The Red Brick Art Museum is located in Cuigezhuang Township, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is elaborately built with traditional Chinese garden imagery and is a contemporary art museum embracing nature. It was founded by collectors Yan Shijie and Cao Mei. It officially opened on May 23, 2014. The Red Brick Art Museum hopes to promote the development of Chinese contemporary art through orderly and high-quality series of exhibitions, combined with collections, research, education, publishing and public activities. It participates in the exchange of international contemporary artists (projects) and conducts research on outstanding issues and phenomena in academic fields, becoming an important promoter of Chinese contemporary art.


Opening hours: From May 1st to September 30th, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 18:00; from October 1st to April 30th, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 17:30; closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; open from 10:00 to 17:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, and National Day; open from 10:00 to 18:00 on Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival.
