Red Ridge and Pine, situated in Liangnong Town, is a region steeped in significant historical sites from the modern era. These include the former site of the East Zhejiang District Committee, the former headquarters of the New Fourth Army’s East Zhejiang Column, the Siming Mountain Martyrs Cemetery, the East Zhejiang Taofen Bookstore, and the East Zhejiang Lu Xun Academy.
Near the former site of the East Zhejiang District Committee, one can find nine ancient pines on the mountains. These pines stand tall against the elements, their robust and vigorous appearance defying frost and snow.
