Renhou Wen’s Ancestral Hall

The colossal Hakka Weilong House, known as ‘Renhou Wen’s Ancestral Hall’, was originally constructed in the third year of the Hongzhi era during the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1490), and it has a history of over five hundred years. It is the only Hakka Weilong House included in the monumental work ‘Chinese Traditional Dwelling Architecture’ compiled by the Chinese Architectural Society.
The long river of history spanning five centuries must have left ancient and mysterious marks here! The vicissitudes of time over the centuries must have etched the footsteps of our ancestors’ entrepreneurial endeavors.
Visitors from the twenty-first century, upon visiting this place, are bound to be inspired by a sense of nostalgia and a desire to explore! This is because of its long-standing history, its status as an ancient dwelling, and its distinctive Hakka features.
The hall is open all year round and is accessible twenty-four hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
