Renshou Temple is one of the four major Buddhist forests in Foshan during the Qing Dynasty. It is currently located at No. 5 Zumiao Road, Chancheng District, Foshan. It is only a few hundred meters away from Foshan Zumiao. It is the location of the Foshan Buddhist Association. It was built in the thirteenth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1656). The abbot of the Esoteric School, Master Zongtang, founded it beside the Foshan Yong River at Guanyintangpu. After 355 years, in 1669, the national teacher during the Shunzhi period, Master Yulin Tongxiu, presided over fundraising and renovated the mountain gate. During the Daoguang period, due to the long lack of monk provisions in Renshou Temple and the decline of Buddhist activities, the abbot of Guangzhou Hualin Temple, Master Renji (Zhiyuan), was invited by Foshan officials and gentry to come to Foshan to solicit donations and renovate Renshou Temple. The project was completed in 1851. Opening hours: Not open to the public. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
