Ritan Park is one of the five famous historical sites in Beijing, dating back to the Ming Dynasty in 1530, and was the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Sun God.


The main attractions of the park include the Altar of the Sun, the West Heaven Gate, the North Heaven Gate, the God’s Storehouse and Kitchen, the Slaughtering Pavilion, the Dressing Hall, the Altar’s murals, the Southwest Scenic Area, the Quchi Spring Scenery, the Yuxin Garden, the Peony Garden, and the Elderly Activity Area. Friends interested in imperial rituals are welcome to visit.


Every spring, the park is adorned with blooming flowers, making it an ideal spot for enjoying the season’s fresh air and blossoms.


The park is open all year round from 06:00 to 21:30, and from 06:00 to 21:00.
