Roaring Tiger Rock is located south of the Second Bend of the Stream, between the Jade Maiden Peak and the Slit Sky, and is one of the well-known scenic spots on the south line of Mount Wuyi. The four large characters ‘Tiger Creek Spiritual Cave’ are inscribed on the rock. The name ‘Roaring Tiger’ originates from a huge cave on the rock. It is said that when the wind passes through the cave, it roars like a tiger, hence the name Roaring Tiger Rock. Roaring Tiger Rock is usually visited together with the Slit Sky. After exiting the Slit Sky, one arrives at Roaring Tiger Rock. It is a place in the entire Mount Wuyi scenic area that can compete with the steep and thrilling Tianyou Peak, but the beautiful scenery after climbing to the top will make you feel that the journey is worthwhile.
There are attractions at Roaring Tiger Rock, including the Heroic Slope, which, as the name suggests, is difficult to walk on. Indeed, walking up can be a bit tiring, with cliffs next to the rock steps and narrow steps, making it hard to stop and rest when there are many people, requiring one to keep moving forward. The end of Roaring Tiger Rock is the Destiny Bridge, but this is not the highest point. Not far from the Destiny Bridge, there is a viewing platform, which is a good place to overlook the mountains and rivers from Roaring Tiger Rock, where one can see the faces of the thirty-six peaks of Mount Wuyi. Additionally, when mentioning Roaring Tiger Rock, people often think of the eight scenes of Roaring Tiger, which are worth searching for, although it is now difficult to find them all. At the lower Roaring Tiger, there is also the scenic spot of Tiancheng Zen Temple, located under the cliff of Roaring Tiger Rock. The feeling of a hidden ancient temple in the deep mountains is very good and can be visited together. The opening hours are all year round, open all day, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.Must Read
