Rose Park is located north of Madian Overpass in Xicheng District, Beijing. It is characterized by exquisitely arranged garden plants. With roses as the theme, various kinds of roses are planted. Since Xicheng District of Beijing and Pasadena in the United States have become sister cities, and the city flower of the latter is rose. Therefore, when the park was built, it was named Rose Park, symbolizing the lasting friendship between the people of the two places.
The park preserves the locust trees, ginkgo trees, locust trees, jujube trees and other large trees of the original Madian forest patch. In addition, crabapple, magnolia, fringetree, kolkwitzia amabilis, yucca and other trees and shrubs are planted. There are also more than 60,000 roses, roses and Chinese roses of various varieties. The park has three unique and independent leisure squares: Yueyuehong Square, Yueguang Square and Shade Square. Yueyuehong Square is mainly planted with roses. Inside there are rose brooks, rose avenues and coffee houses. Yueguang Square is mainly planted with Chinese roses. Inside there is a corridor composed of Chinese roses.
