Rou Shi (1902~1931), a native of Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province. His original name was Zhao Pingfu. There was a small stone bridge in front of his door inscribed with ‘Golden Bridge Rou Shi’, so he used ‘Rou Shi’ and ‘Golden Bridge’ as his pen names. His representative works include the medium-length novels ‘February’ and ‘Three Sisters’, and the short story ‘The Mother as a Slave’.

Rou Shi’s Former Residence is located at the west gate of Ninghai City, Zhejiang. The words ‘Rou Shi’s Former Residence’ were inscribed by Mr. Lu Xun’s wife, Xu Guangping, in January 1960. A memorial hall dedicated to him was established inside his former residence. A monument and a pavilion in his honor are built within Ninghai Middle School. There is also a Rou Shi Building in Yuelong Middle School. A park named after Rou Shi was established to the east of Chengbei Middle School, on the west side of Taoyuan Middle Road.

The opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 08:30-11:30 and 13:00-17:00 all year round. The site is closed all day on Mondays. The actual business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
