Ruifeng Zen Temple is located at the foot of Beigan Mountain in Xiaoshan. It is an ancient temple on the south bank of the Qiantang River in the ‘Buddhist Kingdom of Qiantang’. Ruifeng Zen Temple is built according to the terrain, rising step by step. The halls have double-eaved hip roofs and are extraordinary in grandeur. Surrounded by auspicious clouds on the lotus throne, the Dharma rain sprinkles on all living beings. Buddhist architecture and natural landscapes complement each other. Ruifeng Zen Temple was originally named Ruifeng Nunnery. The exact time of its establishment is yet to be determined. However, Quhuling at Beigan Mountain where Ruifeng Nunnery is located has already appeared as a place name in the Song Dynasty. Ruifeng Nunnery still has continuous incense offerings and spreads Dharma as in the past. It has profound cultural accumulation.
