Ruijin, known as the ‘Red Capital’, was the capital of the Chinese Soviet Republic. It is primarily composed of Yiping, Hongjing, Ersudo, and the Chinese Soviet Memorial Park (South and North Gardens). Yiping boasts one of the well-preserved revolutionary site clusters in the country, with 22 revolutionary sites and memorial buildings. The main attractions include the former site of the Central Government, the Martyrs’ Memorial Tower of the Red Army, the Martyrs’ Memorial Pavilion, the Red Army Review Stand, and Gonglue Pavilion, among others.
Visiting these revolutionary sites with profound significance and exploring the revolutionary relics from that time, the site cluster also houses numerous cultural relics on display, offering insights into that period of red history. It is an excellent place for young people to receive patriotic education.Hongjing Scenic Area, located in Shazhouba, is backed by green mountains and surrounded by verdant fields, providing a tranquil and simple environment. The main attractions include the world-renowned Hongjing, the former site of the Central Executive Committee, the former site of the Central People’s Committee, and the former sites of various central departments. The Central Government Auditorium is designed with eight corners, resembling a Red Army’s octagonal hat when viewed from above.
Above the entrance of the auditorium, there are the 14 characters ‘Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic’, written by Huang Yaguang, known as the ‘Talented Scholar of the Soviet Area’. The auditorium has two floors, with a corridor-style floor and stepped seating. The ground floor is semi-circular, and the entire auditorium can accommodate over 2000 people. In addition, there are air-raid shelters, Shishan Mei Garden, and the former site of the Central Revolutionary Museum among other attractions.
The Chinese Soviet Memorial Park is divided into the South Garden and the North Garden, with the South Garden mainly featuring the Ruijin Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall, the Red Army Martyrs Pavilion, and Longzhu Tower, among other attractions. The park is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
