Ruyue Lake Wetland Park

Ruyue Lake Wetland Park is located 10 kilometers southwest of the central urban area of Boshan, with a planned area of 518 hectares, a forest coverage rate of 92%, and a total standing timber volume of 17,546 cubic meters. Over 300 species of wild animals and more than 700 species of plants inhabit the park, where the lake surface is as smooth as a mirror, mountain springs tinkle, and the green forest is lush. The park is divided into eight functional areas: the entrance area, the sightseeing and entertainment area, the camping area, the reception service area, the vacation living area, the skiing area, the agricultural sightseeing area, and the rural family fun area. In 2012, the national treasure giant pandas were introduced to Zibo for the first time in history, with ‘Shuang’er’ and ‘Zhen Da’ taking up residence at Ruyue Lake Wetland Park, allowing local citizens to enjoy the charming giant pandas without leaving home. Between the Ru Yue Pavilion and the Song of the Forest sculpture, a newly built high-altitude gliding project has been established. A tourist, with the assistance of staff, is suspended from a glider, in a diving posture. The entire high-altitude glide spans 368 meters with a height difference of over 100 meters. Flying amidst the blue sky and white clouds, surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of dense forests and jade-like lake water, with the sound of the wind whistling by, one feels as if they have become a flying bird. Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00. Preferential policies: Children under 1.4 meters (inclusive) are free of charge; Seniors aged 60 and above with an elderly card or ID card are free of charge; Disabled persons with a disability certificate are free of charge; Active-duty military personnel with an officer’s certificate are free of charge.
