Sakura Island is located by the Mirror Sky Lake within Century Park. The island is home to over a thousand cherry blossom trees, creating a vision of pink clouds when in full bloom.
Most of the cherry blossoms on Sakura Island are of the type that blooms before the leaves, predominantly mid-to-late varieties with single-layer petals. Some are the light pink Somei Yoshino, while others are the snow-white Ohshima.
The island is open to the public all year round from 05:00 to 21:00.
