Sanniang Bay is located on the southern coast of Qinzhou City, a serene and picturesque fishing village by the sea. The main attraction of Sanniang Bay is the numerous Chinese white dolphins that inhabit the nearby waters, although spotting them requires a bit of luck. In addition to dolphin watching, the simple fishing village life in Sanniang Bay is also appealing, with strolling on the beach, sea harvesting, or enjoying the tranquil seaside life, making it a popular leisure destination.
Most visitors to Sanniang Bay come from the urban area of Qinzhou, and there are two main ways to enjoy the attractions. One option is a day trip, where visitors can watch the beach and reefs, then take a speedboat to search for dolphins, and leave after returning, which can be done in about half a day. The other option is to stay overnight or longer within the scenic area, living in homestays run by fishermen, tasting fresh seafood, playing on the beach, and experiencing the peaceful fishing village life by the sea, making for a leisurely vacation. Spring and autumn seasons are the best times to see dolphins, as the chances of spotting them are higher. Occasionally, dolphins can be seen on the beach, but the higher probability is by taking a boat out to sea. The scenic area provides official speedboat services, and many local fishermen also offer boat tours. However, neither method guarantees dolphin sightings. After sailing a certain distance from the coast, visitors arrive at the habitat of the Chinese white dolphins, where they may see the beautiful dolphins leaping out of the water. Most of the dolphins here are white and pink, very rare, and the photos taken are also very cute. In the groves of the seaside beach at Sanniang Bay, there are many hammocks where visitors can take a leisurely rest and feel the clear and cool sea breeze. There are also several large rocks by the sea, such as Sanniang Stone and Jellyfish Stone, where visitors can climb on the reefs and take photos with the ocean. Additionally, there is a seaside swimming pool next to the scenic area, but the water quality is average, so few people swim here. The seafood in the fishing village is also very good, a bit more expensive than outside, but very fresh and worth tasting. The opening hours are from 08:00 to 18:00 all year round, and ticket sales will stop when the number of visitors reaches 3000. Parking facilities: [Sanniang Bay Parking Lot], reference price: charged; address: at the entrance of Sanniang Bay Scenic Area; number of spaces: subject to the actual situation of the scenic area. A must-see tip is that the best season to watch dolphins is spring, when the chances are higher, but seeing the dolphins still requires a bit of luck.Sanniang Bay – A Tranquil Seaside Fishing Village
