The SanShan Temple in Chaozhou, also known as Lin Tian Gu Temple, is recorded to have originated in the Sui Dynasty, manifested during the Tang Dynasty, and was ennobled in the Song Dynasty, with a history of over a thousand years. Initially, it was dedicated to the SanShan Deities and later referred to as the SanShan Kings after being ennobled. It is a local deity created by the ancestors of Eastern Guangdong.
