Sanmen Island, also known as Tulong Island, is located at the confluence of Daguwan Bay and Daya Bay. It is a well-preserved natural ecological island in the South China Sea. The island features five mountains suitable for climbing and sightseeing, among which the 298-meter high ‘Oath of the Sea and Mountain Peak’ is particularly beautiful. There is also a 30,000 square meter natural freshwater lake, two beaches, and three colorful stone beaches, 485 types of vegetation, 293 species of birds, and 400 marine life species. Sanmen Island is another island where you can see clear seawater. Being in the middle of the ocean, it is less polluted by humans, thus making it more pristine. The island has a coastline of 13 kilometers and five bays with a radius of 300 meters each. Among them, Moon Bay Beach and White Sand Bay Beach are well-known in the Pearl River Delta region. The sand here is fine, white, and flat, with clear blue seawater and visibility of 10-20 meters. It is known as the ‘Little Saipan’ in Guangdong’s tourism industry. The entire area is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
