Nanji Mountain extends southeastward, giving rise to three islands: Touyu, Eryu, and Sanyu. Based on the elevation of the hills, they are referred to as Toupan, Erpan, and Sanpan, stretching all the way to the southeastern end of Nanji Island. Hence, the name Sanpanwei. It is an excellent spot on Nanji Island to enjoy the sea view, with varying scenery and interests throughout the seasons and different weather conditions.

Sanpanwei boasts numerous scenic spots, primarily located on the mountain. While ascending, one can visit attractions such as Monkey Bowing to Guanyin, Lawn, Chaoyin Cave, Flying Stone, and Wind-Moving Rock. On the way back, one can walk along the coastal path to admire the azure sea, huge rocks, fortresses, and fishing villages. When passing by small shops run by local fishermen, one can purchase vibrantly colored shells to take home.

The entire area is open all year round and accessible 24/7, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
