Sanpo Temple, also known as Houtian Palace, was built in the third year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Using sea cave as a natural barrier, the temple and the cave are cleverly combined, highly reflecting the labor wisdom of people on Weizhou Island. The name of Sanpo Temple is said to be another name for Fujian Maoge Temple and Taiwan Matsu Temple. Outside the courtyard, there are lush flowers and trees, crisscrossed rocks, and winding paths leading to side roads. Under the green shade beside the temple, there are several Immortal Wells, and the springs are constantly overflowing. The well water has the effect of being sweet, promoting fluid production, and clearing heat and detoxifying. Inside the temple, incense is constantly burning, and people who come to worship and draw lots are in an endless stream. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
