Sanyatang Valley: A Serene Subtropical Rainforest

Sanyatang Valley is located in the Wuzhi Mountain Scenic Area, characterized by a subtropical mountain rainforest with a mild climate and abundant rainfall. It boasts a pristine natural environment and fresh air. The forest coverage rate within the valley reaches 98%.
A 2500-meter-long trail has been developed through the middle of the valley, creating unique landscapes such as the valley’s emerald bamboo, subtropical mountain rainforest, ancient vines, a fairy bridge, a cave leading to the sky, a clear pool, and over 30 other natural attractions, as well as five cultural landscapes including an ancient charcoal kiln and the Sanyatang Dam.

The area is largely unspoiled by human intervention, preserving a vast amount of greenery and maintaining a tranquil and fresh atmosphere, making it a natural oxygen bar. There is also a section within the scenic area selling various dry goods, all sourced from the mountains, offering great value for money.


On the mountainside of the valley, distinctive stone guest rooms and restaurants have been constructed, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the pleasures of playing in the mountains, savoring local delicacies, visiting the village, bathing in mountain springs, barbecuing, and participating in bonfire parties. It is an excellent place for physical fitness, exploration, and getting close to nature.


Before reaching Sanyatang Valley, visitors encounter the Nanshan Waterfall, which is majestic with clear waters and surrounded by green trees and bamboo, creating a beautiful scenery with blue skies and white clouds.


The scenic area is open all year round from 08:30 to 16:00. It is advised to call for the latest information on opening times as the area is currently under maintenance and the reopening date is uncertain.
