This is a sculpture located within the campus of Northeastern University. Zhang Jieqian, 1908-2004, was a student of Northeastern University. Professor Zhang Jieqian was a renowned scientist, educator, and social activist. He made significant contributions to the restoration of the name of Northeastern University and the advocacy for the establishment of the Zhang Xueliang Education Foundation at Northeastern University. He had an extremely deep affection for his alma mater and supported the university’s development in every possible way, setting an example for Northeastern University alumni who love their country and university.
