Located on the Binhai Road in Jinping District, Shantou, there is a well-known sea-viewing spot in Shantou City called the Sea-View Promenade, also known as the Binhai Corridor. The scenic spot is essentially a section of sea wall built along the south bank, adjacent to the ferry terminal. Although the water quality here is not the best, taking a walk and enjoying the sea breeze is still a pleasant experience.
The area boasts beautiful and pleasant scenery, and it is conveniently accessible. Across the sea, you can gaze at the famous Shantou attraction – the Quishi Scenic Area. Across the road, there are large buildings such as the People’s Square, Stadium, Welcome Hotel, Municipal Government, and Science and Technology Building. You can visit the People’s Square to see the large sculpture – a group of joyful children carrying a big conch shell walking towards the sea.
Various ships moored by the riverbank also form an interesting scene, and sometimes you can witness fishermen catching fish. The entire Sea-View Promenade is a great place for citizens to relax and unwind, enjoying the scenery and taking a stroll. You can stop here to appreciate the entire Shantou Bay, as well as the Quishi Bridge and the scene of fishermen fishing. When you are tired from walking, there are also chairs available to sit down and rest in the shade, which feels quite pleasant.
