The Shancheng Quyi Theatre was built in 1960 and is managed by Chongqing Quyi Troupe. It is the “traditional” theatre second only to Guotai Theatre in Chongqing urban area. The theatre has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. With regularly held cultural tourism performances and cultural activities, it provides convenient cultural and tourism services for the vast number of Chongqing citizens and foreign tourists.
Since its opening in 2012, it has successfully held a series of small and medium-sized performance activities, including stage play works, conference lectures, cultural and entertainment competitions, etc. Relying on this position, it has created the first cultural brand facing the market – “Shancheng Quyi Theatre Weekly Performances”.
