**Hua Erniang: A Timeless Jester in Yanjin**

图片描述

In the ancient city of Yanjin, there exists a being named Hua Erniang, who has been there for over three millennia. This enigmatic figure carries a basket of persimmons and roams the night, not for food, but for laughter. She seeks out jokes, not in the light of day, but in the dreams of the slumbering. Ironically, over the course of three thousand years, Hua Erniang’s own tale has become the greatest jest in Yanjin.

**Chen Mingliang’s Bittersweet Journey**

The story of Chen Mingliang is equally poignant. When he was young, his mother, Yingtao, tragically took her own life over a dispute about chives. Following his father’s remarriage, Mingliang was left to navigate life on his own. He departed from his hometown of Yanjin, only to return after two decades, during which he experienced a plethora of life’s ups and downs. Mingliang often reflects that his own existence has turned into a bittersweet comedy.
