Japanese popular singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze is set to return to the mainland this November, bringing his Best of Fujii Kaze 2020-2024 ASIA TOUR to Chengdu and Shanghai. Following his first Asian tour last year, this upgraded Best of Fujii Kaze 2020-2024 ASIA TOUR will expand the stage to the scale of a stadium. The tour is expected to kick off on October 26th in Singapore, then proceed to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Chengdu, Shanghai, Jakarta, and Hong Kong for performances.
Fujii Kaze is a rising star in the Japanese music scene. Encouraged by his father, he began learning to play the piano at a young age. Starting at the age of 12, he covered numerous popular songs, performing them on his own piano and uploading videos to YouTube, which caught the attention of music industry professionals, leading to a record deal. In May 2020, amidst the pandemic, Fujii Kaze released his debut album HELP EVER HURT NEVER, conveying the message of not harming anyone and extending a helping hand to the world. The album topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart and earned him several significant Japanese music awards. He was also selected by YouTube as Japan’s first ‘Artist On The Rise’ and included in Spotify’s global program RADAR New Force.
In September 2021, Fujii Kaze held the Fujii Kaze ‘Free’ Live 2021 concert at Yokohama’s Nissan Stadium, which was incredibly inspiring. Despite the Japanese government’s state of emergency due to the pandemic, he performed a live-streamed concert without a live audience, playing a piano in a stadium that could hold 70,000 people, aiming to make the audience feel spiritually free. This live-streamed concert became a global sensation and a trending topic on Twitter worldwide.
In March 2022, Fujii Kaze released his second album LOVE ALL SERVE ALL, named after one of his favorite phrases and echoing the title of his first album. The album once again topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart and earned him multiple important awards.
In July 2022, the song ‘Shinunoga E-Wa’ included in Fujii Kaze’s debut album suddenly became popular in Thailand. This song reached the fourth place on the Spotify Global Viral chart and topped the local hit charts in 23 countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Brazil and Egypt. In the US chart, it achieved the second place. In October 2022, Fujii Kaze held the ‘LOVE ALL SERVE ALL STADIUM LIVE’ concert at Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka, which can accommodate 70,000 people. The audience’s response was very enthusiastic and the tickets were sold out! This concert is now available on Netflix globally. From June to July 2023, Fujii Kaze held 11 consecutive tour concerts in 7 Asian cities, and all shows were sold out. In May 2024, Fujii Kaze went on a tour in the United States. In August of the same year, his special performance at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, attracted 140,000 fans to support, creating an unprecedented scene.
