The China Zone is located within the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. The Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world that features a dedicated China and Yangtze River Basin exhibition area to showcase unique aquatic life from China. Most of the species displayed are nationally protected animals, including the Chinese Sturgeon, Chinese Paddlefish, Chinese Alligator, and Giant Salamander. The aquarium is open year-round from 09:00 to 18:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
