The Shanghai Oriental Geological Science Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a national popular science education base, and a thematic popular science education base in Shanghai. The venue is divided into eight exhibition halls such as the Earth Hall, Mineral and Rock Hall, Paleontology Hall, and Gem Hall. The museum houses tens of thousands of rare and exotic stones, ore crystals, paleontological fossils, and gems collected from all over the world. With unique stone exhibitions and displays of natural science and geological popular science knowledge, it reveals the mysteries of the earth and the magic of nature.


Opening hours: From January 17th to February 8th, open from Tuesday to Wednesday, 08:30 – 16:30; From February 9th to February 11th, closed all day from Friday to Sunday; From February 12th to December 31st, open from 08:30 – 16:30.


Preferential policies: Children: Free for those under 1.3 meters (inclusive). Supplementary note: Preferential policies: Those over 1.3 meters (exclusive) and under 18 years old (inclusive), soldiers, and the elderly over 70 years old (inclusive) can purchase tickets with valid certificates.
