The Shanghai Workers’ Cultural Palace is located at 120 Middle Tibet Road on the east side of People’s Square area, which is the center of Shanghai’s commerce, culture and urban public transportation. It is adjacent to municipal cultural venues such as Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Great World. The Workers’ Cultural Palace covers an area of 2,591 square meters.
The seven-story main building has a history of more than seventy years. The classical European architectural style still remains and it is listed as a protected unit of excellent buildings in Shanghai. After renovation, the internal facilities and environment are now brand new, and its building area reaches 15,824 square meters. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday all year round from 09:00 to 16:30; Closed all day on Monday all year round.
