The Shanghai Youlong Stone Cultural Science Popularization Museum is located east of Pudong International Airport and near Shanghai Disneyland in the west. It is a domestic tourist attraction that systematically showcases stone culture and is one of the science education bases in Shanghai.

The museum’s treasure, the Chinese Golden Toad Stone, resembles the map of China and the image of a golden toad calling upwards, symbolizing the auspicious richness and tranquility of the land. Many renowned geological experts, stone connoisseurs, and scholars have praised this stone as the spirit of heaven and earth, a gem among peculiar stones, and a stone full of spiritual wealth and good fortune.
The museum covers an area of 16,000 square meters, integrating science popularization, exhibitions, tourism, leisure, and shopping.With the theme of humanity’s connection with stones, it presents a large collection of unique and rare mineral crystals, various interesting stones crafted by nature, and a variety of ornamental stones with life-themed images. It also employs large-scale models, scenery, film, audio, and explanations to divide into four areas: ‘Original Ecological Experience Area’, ‘Science Popularization Area’, ‘Tourism and Leisure Area’, and ‘Shopping Area’. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 16:30 all year round.
