Shangqing Ancient Road

The Shangqing Ancient Road is said to be a very classic route in the hiking circle of Shaoxing. Its name seems to come from the place names at its two ends. One is Shangzao and the other is Qingtan. The Shangqing Ancient Road was the only official road from Shengzhou area to Shaoxing in ancient times, equivalent to the current national highway. Nowadays, with the opening of Pingwang Line, few people pass through it. Locals also call it Kuaiji Ancient Road. The section from Shangzao ancient wharf along Ruoye Creek to Shaoxing is a waterway. It has been in decline for a long time and there is no trace to be found. The section from Shangzao ancient wharf in Wangtan Town to Shengzhou is a mountain road. Because it is rarely visited and is all paved with bluestone slabs, it still remains today. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
