The Shankou Mangrove is located in Hepu County, Beihai City. It is connected to the sea and grows in patches. It is very representative among China’s mangrove resources. Here, there is abundant sunlight. In the forest, there grow mangrove plants such as Rhizophora stylosa, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Aegiceras corniculatum. In the seawater among the forest, there are also various marine animals such as fiddler crabs and mullets.
