Shanwei Port is located in the Red Bay area of Eastern Guangdong, on the southwest side of the urban area of Shanwei City. The port covers an area of 25 square kilometers with a coastline of 16 kilometers. The main navigation channel has a water depth of nearly ten meters, allowing thousand-ton vessels to freely enter and exit. Shanwei Port is an open port and a shining pearl on the coast of the Red Bay.

It is 81 nautical miles away from Hong Kong, uniquely blessed with vast fishing grounds and abundant marine resources. The maritime industry is thriving, and the coastal scenery is beautiful, with shallow water beaches ideal for swimming. It is also a rare natural sheltered harbor. During typhoons, numerous vessels gather here to seek shelter, creating a spectacular scene of ‘thousands of sails ready to depart’.

Shanwei Port is one of the top six first-class fishing ports in China and was the base chosen by Mr. Sun Yat-sen 90 years ago, in the 1920s, for the construction of a major southern port. Visiting the coastal scenery of Shanwei, tasting seafood, and observing the production process is quite an interesting experience. The opening hours are subject to the actual operating status on the day.
