Xinchang County has put into use the aviation forest protection flight base in eastern Zhejiang. This base is located in Wanfeng Aviation Town, Xinchang County and is established relying on Wanfeng General Airport. The establishment of this base aims to improve emergency rescue capabilities and meet the actual needs of forest fire prevention and extinguishing work. Wanfeng Airport has a 900-meter runway, a 54,000-square-meter apron, a 10,000-square-meter hangar and ancillary workshops, special garages, a meteorological observation station, a 4,000-square-meter air traffic control building and a parking lot and other facilities. The airport has cooperated with China Aviation Oil and can provide aviation fuel filling services for stationed aircraft. In addition, the Wanfeng Aviation Town where the airport is located has complete supporting facilities, including office, conference, training, catering, pilot apartments and other facilities. It fully has the ability to ensure aviation emergency rescue and provides all-round base guarantee services for aviation forest protection.
