It is said that Cao Guanying named his residence ‘Shen Garden’ with a specific meaning, emphasizing the importance of being low-key and cautious in both business and personal conduct. Unlike most Western-style houses that use red brick walls, this mansion features exterior walls made of Italian stucco, which have become slightly weathered over time. Passing by its side, one can catch a glimpse of the typical Corinthian columns through the high walls, making them particularly eye-catching.
