The Shengjing Mountain scenic area is composed of five major scenic areas: Shengjing Mountain, Danan Lake, Jingfu Temple, Kuangjingyan Scenic Area, and Fengyekeng. It covers a total area of 10.8 square kilometers. The stone hall was built in the first year of Jingding in the Southern Song Dynasty (1260). The existing one was built from the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1573-1908). There is a well inside, less than one foot deep. The water is clear and sweet. It is neither full nor dry all year round. People name it ‘Shengjing’, also known as Qinglongquan Well. In the scenic area, there are also religious activity places such as Baochang Temple and Tongji Temple. There are also natural landscapes such as the Xufeng Waterfall with ‘cold wind and frost in summer and silver threads hanging in winter’, Danan Reservoir, strange peaks such as Laohu Mountain and Laoying Mountain, and strange caves such as Laohu Cave and Qiaosi Cave. In addition, at the foot of Shengjing Mountain, there are more than 10 kinds of animals such as owls, red-bellied tragopans, hares, mountain monkeys, and wildcats. Shengjing Mountain features a stone hall building complex and religious culture, integrating beautiful natural landscapes.
