Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area

The Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area is located in Fangshan District, Beijing. It is about 70 kilometers by car from the center of Beijing. It is a scenic area mainly composed of mountains and forests, Buddhist temples, and Taoist temples. Visitors can come here to climb mountains and enjoy the view and visit temples. There are many farmhouses around the scenic area, where you can enjoy fresh air and authentic farm dishes.


It is a good choice for relaxing and traveling on weekends in the suburbs of Beijing. The gate of the Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area is located on the east side of Jiajin Road, and the parking lot is at the gate. There is a certain distance from the parking lot to the foot of the mountain. It takes about 1 hour to walk. There are round-trip battery cars here, and the fare is 20 yuan. The journey from the foot of the mountain to the top is relatively long.


It takes about 5 hours to climb up and down on foot. You can also take the cable car. The one-way fare is 40 yuan. The mountain scenery on Shenglian Mountain is very beautiful. There are many steep rock walls, strange pine trees and grotesque rocks, which are magnificent and beautiful. There are many temples and Taoist temples on the top of the mountain, all of which can be entered and worshipped one by one.


There is also a huge statue of Lao Tzu, which is very spectacular and can be taken a photo with.



Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 16:00.

The elderly: Free for residents over 65 years old (inclusive) with local household registration.


Military personnel: Active-duty military personnel with valid certificates are free.


Firefighters: Free with valid certificates.
