The Shengshen and Gouqi Scenic Area is located in the easternmost part of the scenic area of Shengsi Islands. The scenic area includes Shengshen Island and Gouqi Island. It is characterized by fishing island style, precipitous cliffs and fishing village folk customs. On Shengshen Island, the real blue sea and blue sky are coming, stretching as far as the eye can see. Around Shengshen Island, ships shuttle among the waves.
The ochre sails rise and fall between the rising sun and the setting sun. At night, thousands of ships gather in Shengshen fishing port. Masts are like forests. Fishing fires shine brightly. The lights on the ship and under the water complement each other, just like a ‘never-sleeping city on the sea’… The natural landscape and fishing island style are integrated, which can be called a distinctive feature of Shengsi island tourism. Looking at the cliffs around the island and climbing high to watch the raging waves is one of the unique features of the Shengshen and Gouqi Scenic Area. The east cliff of Shengshen is located on the easternmost side of Shengshen Island and is one of the advanced scenic spots of Shengsi Islands. Its cliffs stretch for several kilometers and stand dozens of meters high. They directly face the sea. The raging waves crash against the shore and splash up ‘thousands of piles of snow’. At the top of Wulibei Mountain on Gouqi Island, a huge rock stands majestically in mid-air. The four characters ‘spectacular mountains and seas’ engraved on it were written by Hou Jigao, the governor of Zhejiang and Zhili in the Ming Dynasty. There are also landscapes such as Xiaoxitian, Gouqi Sand, Aoyu Stone, Double Stone, Husband and Wife Peak, and marine pastures, all of which have their own charm.Opening hours: Open all day throughout the year.
