The Shenjing ancient village has a history of nearly a thousand years. It is located on Changzhou Island in Huangpu District, between the university town and the Whampoa Military Academy. It faces Hu化龙 in Panyu District, Xinzhou in Haizhu District and Tianhe District across the river respectively. Flagstone streets and blue brick houses are everywhere in the village. For those who like ancient architecture, this is a good place for a weekend.
In the past, Changzhou was a distribution center for foreign trade. The villagers in Shenjing were mostly engaged in dock handling, shipbuilding and business. The villagers lived a wealthy life and the village construction was magnificent. There are blue brick houses and flagstone streets and alleys with the style of the Pearl River Delta everywhere. Among them, Zhengji Fang, Qixi and Rongyangli are three areas where ancient houses are concentrated. It is worth mentioning that in addition to the style of Guangzhou Xiguan big houses, the ancient dwellings in Shenjing also absorb the architectural features of Hakka watchtowers and Western-style stone pillars, gatehouses and pattern designs, leaving traces of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.Opening hours: Open all day throughout the year.
