Shenquan International Golf Club in Hainan is solely funded and constructed by Hainan Provincial Agricultural Reclamation ‘Shenquan Group’, with a total investment of approximately 200 million yuan. It is built to PGA standards. The club is neighbored by the famous Nantian Hot Spring, known as ‘China’s First Spring’.
It is one of the few mountain-style 36-hole leisure and vacation championship golf courses in China, designed by world-renowned designers Nelson & Haworth. The club covers an area of 150 hectares (2280 mu), consisting of two 18-hole courses (Shenniu Course and Shenquan Course), both with a standard par of 72 (Shenniu Course is 7175 yards and Shenquan Course is 7442 yards). The course design, nestled against the mountains and waters, retains a large amount of original ecological terrain and landforms. Standing on the halfway house of the 5th hole of the Shenniu Course, one can overlook the beautiful national coast of Haitang Bay and gaze at Wuzhizhou Island in the distance, forming a magnificent landscape of mountains and waters. The 182-yard natural elevation difference of the 5th hole of the Shenniu Course fills one with imagination, and the naturally formed forest vegetation makes people marvel at the work of nature’s ‘divine craftsmanship’. In addition to the 36-hole golf course, there is a standard golf practice field with 40 hitting positions. The five-star club house covers 10,800 square meters, with a modern design that interprets the theme of Hainan’s local indigenous ethnic culture, giving people a sense of historical culture and modern vitality.
