Elegance of the Cheongsam, Melody of Time. Established in 2024, the Shenyang Shengjing Cheongsam Museum is dedicated to the development of the cheongsam. Located at No. 135 Chaoyang Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang, the museum covers an area of 2000 square meters and features a four-story brick-concrete structure. It comprises six major exhibition areas, showcasing over 400 exquisite exhibits including the ‘1636 Bannerman’s Robe’.

Among them, the museum displays the treasured ‘Royal Family’s Attire’, the ‘Hundred Butterflies Robe’ from the Qing Dynasty court, the ‘Flower-Patterned Cloak’ worn by the last empress, and the ‘Kesi Xiangpei’ worn by the noblewomen of the Qing Dynasty, all of which are century-old precious cultural relics. Following the historical development of the cheongsam from its origins to modern times, the museum allows visitors to closely appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese clothing culture through the display of these artifacts.

The collection within fully interprets the cultural connotations of the cheongsam.

Additionally, the museum features a display area for the themes of the Shenyang Cheongsam Festival, allowing visitors to appreciate the profound cultural connotations of the ‘Cheongsam Capital’. Beyond immersing in the culture, visitors can also enjoy interactive experiences such as stamp collection, audio-visual experiences, costume changes for photos, and cultural and creative souvenirs. It is a symbolic cultural card of Shenyang’s ‘Cheongsam Capital’ and one of the most popular internet-famous cultural and museum venues in the Shenyang Fangcheng Tourism Area.
