Shenzhen Central Park is located in the central part of Shenzhen city, stretching in a north-south strip shape. It is bordered by the Bijia Mountain in the north and the Huanggang Port in the south, with the Chun Guolin green belt as its length. The park adheres to the guiding philosophy of naturalism and emulating nature, primarily using plants to create scenery, making full use of the diversity of natural plant shapes and seasonal changes to form landscapes.

Specialty tree species such as the Phoenix dactylifera from Canada, the Cocos nucifera, the Ficus racemosa, the Enterolobium cyclocarpum, the Cassia fistula, the Samanea saman, the Albizia julibrissin, and the Red-leafed Photinia are planted in the park.
The periphery of the park is cultivated with palm plants as the main tree species, forming a sparse forest lawn that creates a tropical jungle scenery typical of the southern region.

The central part is a central lawn surrounded by dense forests, creating a quiet space in the midst of the bustling city while also establishing a forest. Artificial lake fishing areas and comprehensive fitness parks are also available.
The park is traversed by six municipal roads – Shennan Avenue, Zhenhua West Road, Hongli Road, Huafu Road, Binhe Road, and Huanggang Road – as well as the Futian River, making it a green oasis amidst the urban hustle.

The park is not enclosed, providing easy access to its visitors. It is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
